Row, row, row your boat

One fine Sunday we headed to the Charles River to enjoy the world-renowned 2013 Regatta Head of the Charles rowing race. It's on the Charles (surprised?) that runs through Mass, separating Boston and Cambridge. One of our fellow exchange students from Denmark was rowing. Me being aloof, didn't realise how big of a thing it really is till it was over, but the river banks were packed, and it was kind of like, imma say a festival-type-atmosphere. It was cool. It was up in Harvard area, so we ran into a lot of wealthy Harvard college kids, mostly guys, who looked like they had directly stepped out of a Ralph Lauren catalogue. Seriously, Harvard students. You can pick them out from a mile away just by their attitude, they way they dress and the way they walk and by the way they talk.

We journeyed through Harvard in the afternoon, enjoying the sights and the fall weather. We had lunch and gossiped about the weekend, and all the scandal that has been evolving in the exchange group.

This is the 3rd most visited statue in the US, and is Harvard himself. The tip of his show is actually gold, and people line up for a fleeting moment where they get to touch it, because if you do then either you or your offspring are destined to go to Harvard. In actual fact, Harvard students just urinate on it. Yeah, if only he knew.

Annie saw a Harvard professor walking around campus with a Philosophy book under his arm, a glass of scotch in the other and a cigar in his mouth. YES. THAT HAPPENED.
