York New

#8

I felt I had to write it like that, because well, after so many New York posts, the titles are bound to get boring, so that mixes it up a little. I guess.

Never a dull moment with me and my harry highpants

Not sure what's going on here.......

That's the box....may have said I already got rid of it - I lied.

BUT as I hope you’ve discovered as yet, things in this country are never dull. Consider NYC for example, in 1997 Mrs Rita Rupp of Oklahoma got it in her head that she might be abducted by nefarious persons whilst traveling across America. Bless her 57-year-old soul, she decided to play it on the safe side. In deliberately scrawled and hurried handwriting she wrote a note; “Help, I’ve been kidnapped. Call the highway patrol.”
Giving also name and address, phone numbers, ect.

Let’s just think about that for a second. In what universe would a person write a note like that? Secondly, you’d want to make bloody sure that you do either a) get kidnapped or b) don’t accidentally drop the note out of your purse on the way. Guess what happened. Four states of roadblocks, code reds and police efforts later, Mrs Rupp drove safely on to her destination 40 miles west of Boston.
Or take this for example; a few years back, the sheriffs deputies in Milwaukee were sent to the airport with a team of sniffer dogs to practise hunting out explosives. The deputies hid a five-pound  packet of live explosives somewhere in the airport and then – fantastic America, freaking fantastic – forgot where. And no, the dogs couldn’t find it. Yes, that actually happened. And legend has it that’s the second time that the Milwaukee sheriffs department has done that.

Anywho, we begun our day at the Museum of Natural History, ~cue Ross Geller from Friends~
We enjoyed cracking Ross jokes and visiting the Planetarium where Ross and Rachel originally get together, and then wake up in the Homosapien enclosure. Here’s a bunch of random animal photos, we heart North America.

Dice not thrilled about the Geology exhibition. Okay, time to move swiftly on or she'll get grumpy. You don't wanna see Dice when she's in a grumpy mood.

Shoutout to Clam

Giving Roosevelt a smooch

Shoutout to DJ Salta

The last day in NYC was nice, we finished with ice skating and final goodbye drinks with Tim and Bridge. It was surprisingly difficult to say goodbye to Bridge, the tears surprised us at 1 in the morning. There is safe reassurance in knowing that I’ll be able to see her again though. And that, my friends, is the last of York New for now. Over and out.
